Final Storyboard

Here is the final storyboard I created. I decided to combine different aspects of everyones visions for the music video and ended up with this. I also added approximations for when each shot should appear during the song.

1. (00:00) The main character sits on the floor smoking, and is shown in and out of focus.

2. (00:08) He looks at his reflection in the mirror, talking to himself, perhaps in an attempt to bolster courage or practice a conversation.

3. (00:16) He exits the bathroom and walks alone through a hallway, swaying.

4. (00:30) He steps into the party and immediately stands out, feeling lonely and separate from the other partygoers.

5. (00:32) At the line "In my scope", a woman's eyes flash over the scene, adding a sense of mystery.

6. (00:36) Man gets increasingly upset and despondent, his friend tries to cheer him up but to no avail.

7. (00:50) Two hands almost touch, cutting just before to show his sad face.

8. (01:04) A 360 degree spin surrounding the man at the party representing unease, discomfort and perhaps nausea- he is overwhelmed.

9. (01:15) He is having a mental battle with himself as he holds his head in his hands- perhaps apparitions are seen by his side to represent inner turmoil.

10. (01:25) The mysterious girl turns her head but there is a cut before she reveals her face.

11. (01:35) A contrast is shown between the two, with her having fun dancing and him cradling himself on the floor.

12. (01:40) The girls face is finally revealed- slow motion to represent how fixated he is on her.

13. (01:47) Flashes of them appearing separately but side by side to give the illusion they are together.

14. (01:53) The flashes show them facing each other as the girl leans in.

15. (2:00) He steps back in surprise and hits the wall behind him- she disappears and is revealed to be an illusion.

16. (2:10) He slides down the wall, feeling defeated once again.

17. (2.29) The end of the song- he walks away without accomplishing what he came to the party to do. The song fades away while the scene fades to black.
